Second Life: How do I make Clear Textures?

Question

I'm trying to learn how to design clothes. I'm very good at making textures but I can't seem to figure out how to design a clear texture. You can only save in jpeg, jpg, and tga... none of which allow for clear like a .gif.

If someone can help me, that's 10 points for you!

You might have figured this out by now, but the Second Life community runs a forum (Design & Textures) that provides instructions for things including this topic.
