I seriously hate them and I think I've had to go to like five of them this summer. I think they are boring, hot, crowded, etc...Open bar always helps, but still...

They do seem to come in bunches which sucks. It usually depends how close you are to the peeps getting married. If it's your physical therapists nephew, then it's a yawner. If it's your girlfriend, and you are in the wedding, it's the time of your life. Just pray that you never have to go to a "dry wedding". Oooh it makes me cringe just saying those words! I bet you look smoking in a bridesmaid dress yumyum, if I was at a wedding with you, I'd totally try to get with you.... ;-)

No, I hate going to weddings too. I always have. That's why when I got married, we just went to the courthouse. Everyone has their own reason for hating, but I just think they're the same as you. What always works is say you have plans, don't RSVP, and send a nice gift anyway. Most people just want you there for your $ or a gift.

Not at all.
Its just a matter of personal preference.
I have not enjoyed all weddings I can attended. I try to remember I am there to celebrate the bride and groom and not for myself. That seems to help and I end of having more fun than I thought I would because I have no expectations.

Not at all. I absolutely despise going to weddings. I hate dressing up, eating gross party food, sitting in uncomfortable chairs, and listening to people drone on for too long with uninteresting stories. I have no problem with people getting married, but weddings are some of my least favorite things ever. I don't ever intend to have one. Eloping sounds lovely.

And no. You aren't a bad person. People like what they like, and there's no law that says that just because you're a girl, you've gotta like weddings.

No. Unless it's your wedding that you hate, there's nothing wrong with you. I hate weddings too. I was flower girl when I was a kid. Horrible experience.

no i think the whole thing (wedding to reception) is boring. sometimes you just have to go out of respect for close friends or family
