I think that everybody is different but that most women do get bigger with their second. I for one didn't notice much difference... I had about a two pound difference with my pregnancies and with the second it was two pounds less (or maybe three). I also wasn't very sick with the second and with my first I was horribly ill during my first trimester. Some say that with a girl you're more sick than with a boy. I had a girl first and was very sick and then a boy and wasn't that sick with him. I think that every pregnancy is different though. My first baby was also very big and my second was two pounds smaller. Around 11 weeks when they listen to the heartbeat they will listen for two no matter how big or small you are. And it's funny but with me I was thinking the same thing. I went in there thinking I've got to be further along than this! But, I ended up measuring small for my first checkup. It was all in my head. I had just gotten used to not being pregnant and was blown away when I got that little bump (the one and a half month bump that you're thinking ... hmmmm, wonder if anyone can tell yet). Good luck :)

I have 3 children.

I was sick the entire pregnancy with my first... I even vomitted while I was in labor! yuck, I know! IF you feel really weak, you need to let your doctor know. I had an electrolyte imbalance, and that made a big difference in how tired I was.

With my second, I did show much faster, but I didn't get "bigger" than I was at the end... I just showed faster. That is because the ligaments and muscles that support your abdomen, and utuerus, have already been stretched out. BUT, I felt fine. I was very rarely sick.

With my 3rd, I was sick. At 4 months, I ended up in the hospital, and then on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy. I also had problems with my blood pressure, which I had never had before or since. I did show faster, but still could wear the same maternity clothes I did with my other two.

Good luck, and just take it easy. But, seriously, if you are having a lot of problems with energy and with morning sickness, tell your doctor.

You may need to have some extra blood work done. Anemia, Electrolyte Imbalance, stress, not sleeping well, all kinds of things could be contributing to the way you feel.

I was exhausted all the time I was pregnant with my second child ... especially for the first three months. I think that is normal because you probably have a toddler running around that you have to take care of, while for the first pregnancy all you have to take care of is yourself. I was also bigger with the second child. Like you, I didn't show until about six or seven months with the first. And my daughter is now going through similar experiences with her second pregnancy.

All pregnancies are different in any case. No two are alike.

Only your doctor can tell you if you are having twins.

If you really feel unwell, though, you should get checked. Tired is normal ... unwell is not.

Take care. Best of luck with everything.

My personal experience is every pregnany is different. I have 2, waiting to concieve 3rd. I didn't show unil 7 months with #1, was showing at 3 months with #2, was severly sick with 1 and only minor here and there with 2, but I will admit was much more weak and tired while pregnant with 2nd. I also suffered and still am with severe PPD 2nd time, and nothing even close to it the first time. Our 2nd is now 12 months. Hopefully it was all calm down a little bit after 3 monthsfor you. Good Luck and just think of the awesome gift in the end :)

I got bigger with every child but this is not always the case with every person. I showed sooner with the next 3 than the first. When I was pregnant with my girls I was much sicker for longer than I was with my sons. The more sick that I was the worse I felt until I got it under control.
My prenatal vitamins also made me sick because of the iron.
You are always more fatigued during your 1st and last trimester.
Talk with your doctor about this. Some people need more iron and some need less in there vitamins.
God luck to you and your little one.

My 1st was a girl and she only weighed 6lbs 12oz. My 2nd was bigger at 8lbs 1oz. but for some reason I carried bigger with my first. With the second pregnancy, you could be worn because you are taking care of the 1st born and you don't have the same privileges as with the 2nd one...(you can sleep when they sleep..with the 2nd one, you can't). This can take a toll on your body and make your resistance low. I was very sick with my son (2nd) and was tired all the time. When it comes to size and weight gain, every pregnancy is different...it doesn't mean a thing. Good Luck & Best Wishes!

Yes, you do get bigger sooner with the second child. As far as sickness and weakness, they're all different. You might have a little bug--let your doctor know. Good Luck.

Also, if you're older (I was 37 with my last baby) it is harder than when you're in your 20's. I really noticed the difference.

Each baby is different. I too popped out a lot sooner with the second, and my belly was huge but it was because he was transverse, he laid on his back instead of his head, but he turned and every thing was ok.
Unless twins run in your family, or you were on fertility drugs, I would not worry so much about the twins.
Don't stress yourself out just beause things are going differently than they did the first time.
Just relax and enjoy!
It will be ok!
Have a happy healthy baby,
blessed be!

I was definitely bigger sooner with my 2nd, 3rd and 4th than my first. I felt my worst with my 2nd and 4th because I was pregnant all summer. So if it's hot where you are that could be it or it could be a "bug" making you feel so yucky. I'd talk to the doc if I were you.
