I need to find publishing stats on specific markets.

Example: pets, gift books, cats, children's books, etc.

Or possibly an annual "best seller" list other than the usual popular fiction and non fiction.

I need to fill in these blanks: Last year approximately $________ was spent on gift books about pets, _____ % were specifically about cats and kittens.

The religious and inspirational market topped last years publishing records at $____________.

Children's books with bright photos of pets continue to be a good seller. Parents purchased over $_______________

See... that kind of thing. I am slogging thru websites that are more geared toward Federal, Business, Stock Market. NOT what I need.

The Census has a lot of statistics, but the information you are looking for, companies pay a lot of money for subscriptions to marketing research. Wikipedia.com has a lot of general knowledge items, but I would double check to make sure the information is accurate.
