It is different for every religion, and may be different for children and adults. Speak with the minister/pastor/priest of the church in which you plan to hold the ceremony, and they can tell you what to expect. If you are unsure about which church, you may want to have a Dedication, which is like a baptism without the commitment to a specific religion, just commitment to Christianity.

Only have experience with Roman Catholic. The only out of the usual prayers was Apostle Creed. Luckily it was written somewhere. If you want to be perfect might brush up on that. Think the priest is smart enough to recite it loud. They will walk you through the steps. It's easy as watching someone pour some water.

romans 6:3,4...
acts 22:16...arise and be baptised, and wash away thy sins...
mark 16:16...he that believeth and is baptised shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be dammed.

when you are baptised , you are showing the world that you have chosen to walk with Christ, going down into the watery grave of baptism, and rising to walk in newness of life with Him...may God bless you and i pray this answer helped...
