Take 1 very large box that will cover your entire body. Cut a hole for head an arms, make sure box does not go all the way to the floor. Cover entire box with Aluminum Foil. Use a smaller box cover in Alminum foil, cut eye holes and mouth, and put this box over your head. Put antenas on top. This is a robot costume. Find Silver gloves to cover your arms, or black tights. Use construction paper to decorate the robot. Wear black tights on your legs and either use dark shoes or roller skates on your feet.

This is a simple and easy costume.

Take an al;uminum pie plate (the disposable kind) and cut the bottom out of it, then cut a slit so you can put it around your neck like a necklace. Then when you get to the party take some aluminum foil and wrap your head in it, and you can go as a pan of Jiffy Pop Popcorn.

Or make a very large milk carton out of cardboard. Cut a big hole in one side and leave the bottom open then you can go as the face of a missing person on a milk carton.

Another option is covering yourself with candy wrappers and silly string and go to the party as the floor of a movie theater...

Any these work for you? How about cutting a section out of a circular Fram air filter and going as Mrs Geordi LaForge from Star Trek?

Or be real cheap get some black, blue and white face paint and make yourself up as the Corpse Bride.

First of all, you need to think of something very original, something that no one else would even think of being. (this is what I tell my children, and they have been lots of things, last year one was a child abducted by an alien and the other was a roll of Bubble Tape). I hand make their costumes, and it really doesn't have to involve sewing. I do a lot of paper mache, use fabric paints and hot glue, cardboard. Anything you can think of. First pick what you want to be then draw a picture of it, and figure out what materials you need to make it. Take your time, good luck, wish I was there to help.

Halloween is my favorite holiday. A couple of years ago I went as a dead bride. I bought a wedding dress at a thrift store for $30 and amazingly it fit perfect (I am very tall and thin). I put fake blood all over my dress. The makeup was very easy. I used flour to whiten my face, black lipstick and dark gray eyeshadow. I teased my hair up really big. I won first prize at my sister's Halloween party. One year I was a psycho nurse. I bought my nurses uniform at the swap meet, teased my hair crazy, blood everywhere, big plastic knife and syringe. I put on a lot of make up, all crazy. My red lipstick was on very thick and smeared. Last year I was a zombie. Like I said, Halloween is my favorite Halloween. I have three kids and I always start around this time of year on planning what our costumes are going to be. So have fun with it. It's the only time of the year you can be anyone or anything you want.

I dress up every year! I think one of the funniest was when I was Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra!

Here are some ideas: the Pope, Highland dancer, Medusa, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, gypsy, Queen Elizabeth I, Sacajawea, the Paranoid Android from Hitchhikers, fat Elvis, gorilla, Aset (Isis) or other Egyptian deity, Madeline Khan in Young Frankenstein, or the Leaning Tower of Pisa!

When I was VERY pregnant I dressed as a Rodeo Clown. Bought some large waisted jeans from a thrift store and some funny clored suspenders. Wore a "redneck" t-shirt with holes, stirped socks, cowboy boots and a straw cowboy hat with a large sunflower in it. Painted ared dot on my nose and cheeks.

Is this for you? How old and what are the things you like to do? Otherwise go to a fabric shop and look at the patterns, or simply just hit a costume shop.

If you're good in sewing costumes.. Try to base it on Anime Cartoons.. Like Naruto or Ranma... and add hairstyles to make you look like them.. It's fun...
