Yea, that would have made a lot more sense, except they were already planning the #24, and the league has a deadline which the #81 wouldn't have met. Maybe kobe just really values #24. But anyway, #81 make more sense, I agree with you.

24 would be a better choice, number 81 is pretty much unheard of in the NBA, although kobe may start the fad if he decides to use 81

The reason why Kobe decided to change his number to 24 is because it was one of the numbers one of his old coach wore. I think it was D'Antoni or something like that.(and why 81???)

i want #24 because that number is 1 up to jordan's #23. that way it makes me better than jordan hahahahaha... anyway im just changing my number because i desperately need attention man. i need to use my "attention-seeking" antics coz right now all the attention is going to shaq, wade, lebron and melo. i hate being out of the spotlight...

man i still cant believe shaq won a title without me. damn im soooooooo jealous!

maybe! but what if he scores 100 next season? will he change again his jersey number? he chose 24 maybe because it means something to him!
