Advent starts on the 4th Sunday before Christmas.
In 2006 the day before Advent starts is called "Saturday of the Thirty-fourth week in Ordinary Time."
Lent starts on Ash Wednesday and leads to Easter.
The day before Ash Wednesday is informally called Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday). In 2007, Mardi Gras will be February 20, 2007 and is officially called "Tuesday of the Seventh week in Ordinary Time."
With love in Christ.

The Sunday before the First Sunday of Advent is the Feast of Christ the King. The day before is "Saturday" ;-) Well, Saturday of the Thirty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time, this year.

I think you may be referring to the Feast of St Andrew the Apostle, which falls on the 30th of November I believe, and indicates the coming of Advent (which is the first Sunday following this "feast"). Advent begins 4 sundays before Christmas.

I have never heard of a "name" for the day before the Advent Season begins, however, Ash Wednesday is in the season of Lent. It precedes Maundy Thursday, then there is Good Friday, then Easter Sunday.

when you're asking in case you want to be baptized back, no, you do not except you've been baptized as a Jehovah Witness or a Mormon. The Church would not settle for those baptisms. there is more beneficial to develop right into a Roman Catholic than being baptized although. you've to attend RCIA (Roman Catholic Initiation for Adults) training to study what being a Catholic is all about. you'll even ought to receive the sacraments that you've missed, fairly, Reconciliation, Communion, and affirmation.

Um, Saturday?
If you really meant Lent and not Advent then the day before is Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday.

No idea. Advent is four-weeks before Christmas and is celebrated because it is the coming of the savior, Jesus Christ.
