How would she have known any better without the knowledge of good and evil that was kept from her? How would she have known that disobeying God was bad? It was a set up!

She was used by the devil. Why didn't satan go to Adam? Cause he knew Adam wouldn't be so easy. It just goes to show, that if someone wants to hurt you, they work on the people closest to you to bring you down. It's been that way forever.
It was forbidden, because they already had eternal life. If they had the knowledge of good and evil and eternal life, they would be like God.
That's why the tree of eternal life was then blocked off when they were cast out. That's also why before she ate it, they were not forbidden to eat from the tree of eternal life. They already had it. Part of their punishment was to die in their day, or in their lifetime.
This was why Jesus died on the cross and rose again, to show man that they can once again have eternal life, through Jesus' example. All they have to do is believe. This seems to be harder than the task He gave Adam and Eve.
All they had to do was avoid a tree, or just not eat from it. Well, now there are more people to do it too.

Of course Eve being tricked by a talking serpent to eat the fruit and have God's knowledge is total bullshit. By the way the Bible never identified the forbidden fruit. It does not mention an apple by name.

Well as I read the Bible and understand the story, God needed some conformation that people could be trusted. He gave Eve and Adams only one commandment. Eat all you like but not this fruit from this tree. Up until then there was not law of God just peace and contentment.

Then Eve was alone one day and this dirty old snake wanted her to eat the fruit and he convinced her that it meant nothing and tasted good. Eve being, maybe a Blondie, that needs to be research a little more, eat of that fruit and the rest is history. She got fat and pregnant and women ever since have been reminded of that fact for all time.

So what is the problem?

The whole Garden is a metaphor of the human soul
everyone gave you official view But here is the view the priests don't want you to see
Its not about the apple
God put the apple there he wanted them to eat it so time could happen.
The sin is that when God asked Adam who did it, HE pointed his finger at Eve and didn't take responsibility for his own actions.
Eve pointed her finger at the snake and committed the same sin as Adam.
Pointing at the splinter in your brothers Eyes when there is a log in yours that's the Sin.
Why don't the priests tell you the truth. Cause this version doesn't fill you with shame, fear and it takes away there power to point at your sin so you fill there basket OR go kill that Other tribe.

The serpent in the garden of Eden tricked her into disbelieving what GOD her about not eating of the fruit of the tree .
IT was the fruit of the tree of the Knowledge of GOOD and EVIL.
It has not been proven that it was an apple. Just the fruit of the tree of. the apple was used by the early Christians as if you cut an apple across the center and look at the pattern of the placing of the seeds and meat. it forms a five pointed star a symbol used by the pagans as one of their symbols of man and the basic teachings of their religion. The Christan's at that time were calling the Pagans sons and daughters of the Devil.

The fruit in question (from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, not an apple tree), would bring death. Effectively, God said "don't eat this, it is poison".

The death the fruit brought was not physical. It was mental and spiritual.

Eve took and ate some of the fruit because she wanted to be "wise, like God". The serpent had told her that God was lying, the fruit would actually make her as wise as God. Eve chose to believe the lizard, instead of God, and ate something that she had on good authority was poison. She then shared it with her husband, who was standing right there at the time!

first of all, it was not actually an apple.
it was just a representation of the fruit
of the tree of knowledge...

they were forbidden to eat from it
because once they do, their
innocence will disappear...

eve plucked the fruit because the devil
tempted her (in the form of a serpent).
it said to her that the lord didnt want
them(adam & eve) to eat from it coz
once they do, they will be like god....

It was forbidden as a test of Adam and Eve's obedience. Without a choice, they would have no free will. Eve was lied to and tricked by Satan, a fallen angel and enemy of God. By the way, I WAS Trying to save space on my last question.

the Apple is a metafor for plucking the "Tree Of Knowlidge"

I suppose she took it because god gave her free will. Ignorance is bliss and makes you easier to control, that's why it was forbidden.

her excuse was that the devil made her do it and as she hadn't eaten the apple (from the tree of knowledge) to begin with, she couldn't possibly have known it was wrong.
