I am applying to tutor for adult literacy and the application also asks if I would be interested in tutoring GED-Level Math. I haven't taken a math course in 8 years, but I did rather well in High School with it and I feel like I could contribute in this area as well. What sort of math is on the GED tests?

These are the benchmarks for Florida's GED math test. I'm sure they are pretty close to the same in other states. Not too much beyond pre-algebra.

Believe it or not, there's not much straight algebra on the test. There's a good amount of geometry, some reading graphs & interpreting trends, ans a fair amount general math.

Good for you for wanting to be a tutor. I'm sure you'll be able to help a lot of people.
