I know he's not upset with me, but I think he forgot we had a dinner date tonight. He's not answering his calls. More than likely because he is in a loud bar. I'm upset.

I know he's not hung up at work because he called in today. And he was with his friend earlier today.

I just don't know who to give the 10 points to. He came home drunk, and I was so upset. We talked it out, and he was extra sweet to me this weekend. If this keeps happening I'm gonna make him pay big time!!!

If he forgot, he forgot- it happens, I would be irritated too but I would make him make it up to me.

Used to happen to me too. The last time was my birthday. Seriously. But he had a bad habit of getting lost in bars and forgetting stuff...like where he parked the car. Seriously. Then he started losing stuff too. Like his temper. When things started breaking, that's when I broke it off. It's been quite some time and I've never been more peaceful or had so offers for dinners, movies, coffee, etc from attractive and intelligent people...head out with your girlfriends and try to put it in perspective - is this truly a one time deal, did he have a terrible day, could he be in trouble or an accident, or is this just another version of the same pattern?

You should be upset, especially if he forgot and is at a loud bar. When he gets home you should tell him how you feel and how rude it was for him to forget that you had a dinner date. He should know that nothing should come before you and your marriage. Being out at a loud bar isn't a good excuse for missing dinner or not answering the phone - phones now have vibrate on them for this very reason.

If you think you know where that bar is, call the bar and ask for your husband by name. If he is too intoxicated to answer the telephone, he should be discouraged from drinking alone. Go with him next time to find out what's attracting him to hang out in the bar. You will need to have a frank discussion with your spouse about the importance of keeping his promises and having regard for your time and your feelings. It sounds like he could use some personal counseling if he is unwilling to listen and resond positively.

hum...interesting. Okay did you cook and all? If so leave it all sitting out for him to see when he gets home. Were yall planning to go out? If so lock the doors...deadbolt them. Make him realize he cant treat you like this. Otherwise leave and go see a movie or something that will take a few hours. And when you get back remind him of what he forgot and demand an apology (unless it was something important that held him up) so be sure to ask why he didnt show first.

Not a whole lot you can do really. You can wait until he gets home and ***** at him (but that we just end in a big agruement), you could wait for him and talk to him and let him know that this hurts you (if this is the first time, if not let him have it hunny). But what I would do when my husband was still my boyfriend and he would "forget", go out and have a good time with your girlfriends or by yourself. Fck him. He will freak out when he gets home and you are gone and you don't answer your cell phone.

Honey what is your husband doing out at a bar?? Aside from that, I'd make sure to let him know that it upsets you when he forgets about your plans together and that you were looking forward to the time together. Set another date right away and remind him either the day before or the same day (if you can) about it.

There's no excuse. He may have forgotten, but at some point he'd remember. Same thing happened to me with husband #1 - only ever happened once. We separated shortly afterwards. Don't let any man treat you with such disrespect.
