You can set up a home network to share your connection. It even works with dialup, but it's sloooow. You'll need a router and wired or wireless network cards. Wireless is easier to set up.

If you have a network and each has their own msn account you should be fine. MSN allows you to create several profiles (emails) so they can create their own chat profile and such. So, if one kid is here chatting or being on-line and another is there doing the same, it makes no difference, as long as you have the computers networked.

As others have said, you can set up a home network.
Linuxiac raises some very valid points that you should be aware of. Many youngsters will want to have their own connection so they can peruse porn sites, or download illicit material (both pirated software/music and 'naughty' pictures). Don't forget though, that young boys can be 'sucked in' by people whose intentions are not honorable. Make sure you know who your children are talking to, and warn them about not giving out personal information about themselves, where they live, what school they attend, etc.

Nope. One, single connection! We have up to 15 folks surfing the web on computers through a switchhub, and the wifi, to a firewall/router that is extra secure, as it is an IPCOP box.
We can run Dan's Guardian to block pr0n sites... (Word to the 'wise': That is why teen boys like to have the computers in their rooms...)... Divide and conquer, dad! you can't possibly watch the ones downstairs, and upstairs, at the same time!
We run Spam Assassin for all the spam, it presorts all mail, deletes the blacklisted items. Blacklists come in on auto updates, every night!
To run all the above, your IPCOP box should be a 400 to 800 Mhz system, for up to 36 clients.

Use a wireless router and two adapters. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/102-7741242-3557711?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=wireless+router&Go.x=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go Or if you are short of money, use a cat5e crossover ethernet cable from amazon. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/102-7741242-3557711?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=cat5e+crossover+cable&Go.x=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go
