If your ex-mother-in-law does not have legal custody of your son, you can report him missing from you to the police and they will find him. If you know her telephone number you have the right and the authority to call her and speak to your own child. Every mother, unless she had been declared unfit for child custody, has the right to know the whereabouts of her offspring and to be able to contact him. She should call you soon to tell you about the progress of your child unless you have given her a legal reason not to do so.

I'm not sure what is going on, but if your son should not be with your ex mother in law you must involve the police. Tell them where you think your child may be located.
