It's really painful to be in the situation you're in, but you can turn things around. Find out if there are any clubs in your school (or sports teams you'd be interested in playing on). Joining one that interests you is the best way to meet and make new friends. You can also think about getting a part-time after school job - another place to make friends with teens your age. Hang in there!

Oh no!! It really completely SUCKS when your best friend ditches you. I know from experience.. my best friend has ditched me and my other best friend more than once to go hang out with her other, "cooler" partying friends.
You should definitely try to talk to her and tell her that you're upset because of her shrugging you off. There might be a reason behind it all. Are her friends snobby to you? If they are, just remember that you are making new friends outside of this group who may be treating you better.
No matter what, you need to make sure your friend knows how you feel to keep the friendship going.
I think it's great to make new friends, and I'm always excited to meet new people.
If you feel like you don't have anything to say, remember this: Everyone has something you can relate to.
I live by this... It makes talking to people so much easier.
Try commenting someone's outfit, or asking about their favorite music or ANYTHING you can think of to start conversation. Always try to be open, and remember, whatever happens between you and your friend, you can always learn from it and move on. :)

Don't worry yourself sick about it. You are "the new kid". Get to know people and over time they will warm up to you. It may be lonely for awhile but it will work out in the end. Be cautious of those who are "too eager" to befriend you. There is usually a reason why they have no other friends. I was the new kid from kindergarten and every 4yrs after that until I graduated high school. It is difficult but trust me choose your friends wisely and don't worry if it takes a little time. Best of luck to you in your new school.
P.S. Have you tried joining in any sports or clubs. That gives you an opportunity to meet people that obviously share a similar interest with you. It can help tremendously.

Your best friend is not you best friend, if she were she would include you. When you make friends make sure they have the same interests you do. The best way to figure out when a person is really your friend is when no matter what you do or say, regardless of the mistakes you have made, is always there when you need them.

Give it some time, Hon. you will make your own group of friends. I know it seems lonely and impossible, now, but in time you will have lots of people to hang out with. I say ditch the friend that ditched you, she isn't really a friend.

I think you might tell her how you feel. Sometimes people don't know our needs / wants and we have to speak up.
But, I'm guessing you'll just have to accept the loss and move on. Keep your chin up, smile, try to be the kind of person you'd want to be friends with. You'll make good friends in time :)

In high school all you need is one or to close friends. The more friends you have, the less important the relationship becomes, and you will have more chances for drama if you have more friends.

Take time some to talk to her about this, tell her how you feel and if she keep ignoring you, she's not a true friend.

Join a club at your school! I meet new and wonderful people there, who i wouldn't ordinarily meet. Tell your 'friend' that you don't need people like her, whose hypocrisy is disgusting.
LOL that's me. what i would say!
Good luck at your school
