My girl already asked this but i just wanted to explain it how i see it. Everyone knows that Anonymous is spelled A-n-o-n-y-m-o-u-s. Has anyone heard someone pronounce this word as such (Ananymous) utilizing the letter a instead of O. I have been around the states and some places in Europe and the Middle East. She is from NZ as some of you probably already know and she is telling me that its not right to pronounce it that way. I pronounce it both ways it just depends on the mood. Can anyone back me up on this one?

It's unanimous or anonymous...You can't combine the two.

Anonymous. The o sounds like an o. Says so in the dictionary.

first of all i think yall can find something better to argue about. second of all, our way of pronouncing it is of course different from her way since she's from NZ. its told to me that you are right and if she wishes to be understood, she has to pronounce it as us way for this our way of communicating. i'm not one of the out of town haters or our way or the highway, i'm just answering your question to the best of my knowledge with some help. by the way welcome (tell her please)

It is an "o", not an "a", so it doesn't have an "a' sound.
