I've met people I immediately had a negative reaction to. It hasn't happened very often, but, when it happens, the feeling is very distinct and powerful.
I believe we all carry our own vibe around. It can also be called an aura, but I believe it silently announces who we are without any effort on our part. I think children are especially good at picking up auras. That's another reason we need to pay attention to when our children don't want to "be around" particular people.

Yes. And I've also immediately had a positive reaction to people and felt that I've known them for a long time. We used to call it "vibes" and I don't know the reason for it.

I have. I always turn out to be right. I don't know if that is self-fulfilling prophecy or not, but I just stay away from them. If staying away is not possible (like at work) just be civil but don't give them any information. I think this has happened to me about five times in my life.

YES!!! There is a woman I work w/ who gives me the willies! She hasn't done anything bad to me, but something about her just doesn't sit right. I felt it the day we met. I had to "shadow" her in order to learn my new job. Being next to her for 8 hours was so unsettling. Six years later, she still makes me cringe.

When someone says that first impressions say a lot about someone is totally stupid! never judge a person that you just barely met.
