i heard from people that you have to press your chest down, but some people told me just to use my hips? i don't noe what to do? please help me... cuz when i do dolphin kick, i don't go very fast

If you are doing the dolphin kick with your arms, as in doing the butterfly then you start with your arms and chest and follow with your legs. Now if you are just doing dolphin kick with a kick-board then yes use your hips. Start maybe with fins this will help you get what it should feel like to do it correctly, also kick dolphin on your back and on your sides. This will help develop strength on both sides of your legs.
