Sure. But it won't fit correctly.

It's neither recommended nor advisable but it could be done if necessary, also you will need slats or a full sized 54" X 75" piece of plywood. I will assume you have the rails to conect HB to the FB.You didn't mention what size boxspring you have, if any? If it's a full you will need to put down first slats or a full sized piece of plywood over the frame, then put the boxspring down and then mattress. If you have only a twin boxspring, put it on first then put the plywood over the twin box and lastly the mattress. If no boxspring, buy a twin mattress or use the plywood first, then place the mattress over the plywood. It will be unstable and look a bit strange, but then again, you asked. Good Look

It will fit from head to foot, but the width is different. Twin is 39" wide and full is 54".

if its only a headboard thats a twin, but NOT the frame itself, maybe you can adjust the bedframe to fit your full size mattress. remember the head/foot boards and frames can be different as long as your frames can be adjusted.

No--- Full size matresses are longer (if I remember correctly) plus they're wider. So it wouldn't have full support under the box spring + it wouldn't fit between the headboard and the footboard.

just buy the right mattres for the headboard or buy a full size frame (they're cheap-- like $50 or so)

you'd have to never sit on the edge and only sleep in the middle. go to the mattress store this weekend or next for the good sales, and use your superb negotiation skills to make them throw in the box & frame free.
