He's selfish.

It's human nature for us to be selfish. Often times, people do things for others because it makes them feel good, which in a way is selfish. Some people are more mature and willing to acknowledge the needs of others, and some people will use whatever method they need to use to get what they want. Respect and consideration for the needs of others is a sign of maturity. If this person is your best friend, perhaps you need to make another friend.

If you think he's controlling now just wait, you haven't seen anything yet. He is a control freak and I would get out of the relationship as fast as I could. You have the right to do what pleases you as long as it hurts no one else. Why do you think so many women end up in women's shelters? It's just a form of abuse.

Perhaps He simply believes that it is the natural place of a Man to dominate a woman, or then again, maybe he is just an insecure asshole. Not knowing either of you, I can't say.

he's selfish. Well, you can talk to him about it, that it bothers you that he gets his way all the time, and never think about what you want and that he needs to be considerate.

I'd have to say that he doesn't give a hoot. Talk to him about it. If he doesn't change, or something to that effect, dump him, you don't need that.
