I want to record tv programs but I don't want to use Tivo; how can i do it?

There are non-TIVO digital video recorders...go to Circuit City or Best Buy and ask them...

Just get yourself a VCR to do it. VCR's are quite low in price nowadays, and if you program them correctly you can grab whaterver shows you want.
