Whatever you try, don't put it in the dryer till you know the spot has been removed. The dryer will make it really hard to take out.

Dawn is a good suggestion. It's better at removing grease than other dish soaps.

I've also read that liquid laundry detergent is good if you put it on the stain full-strength. I have tried making a paste of powder laundry detergent, but for some reason it wasn't too effective.

I always use Zout for oil spatters. Same as Dawn: apply it and rub it in, then wait ten minutes and wash in the warmest water that the garment can handle.

The best way I have found to get any grease or oil based stain out is by using Dawn dish soap. It breaks down the oils, and is gentle on the fabric. But if you have already dried the shirt in the dryer it is probably set in.

Try treating with Dawn dishsoap prior to washing. Also check out the Queen of Clean link on either www.diynetwork.com or www.hgtv.com, sorry I can't remember which. But she can clean ANYTHING!
