I had the same problem..we started looking in the washer and found a small screaw stuck in one of the hole and it was sharp enough to put holes in the clothes...so look and see if something is stuck in the washer....

Could be the in the rear of the dryer has developed sharp edges in the metal vent.This could cause fabric to tear.

You definitely have exposed metal/plastic edges somewhere inside the dryer. Use a pair of pantyhose/knee highs on your hand and run it along all of the inside of the dryer to find the culprit.

you either have a rough spot in your dryer or it could be the zippers on your pants, they will tear up your T-shirts, etc
be sure whenever you wash to zip and button all the pants
I no longer wash pants with T-shirts, I just do them in another
load

It is probably a piece of underwire from a bra that has broken off and got caught. Pass on how to remove it though!!
