depends on what you got and how long you been married

In a divorce it is very hard to get alimony unless you have been married at least 10 years and/or you have devoted your time to raising the children or you worked while he went to school in order to advance in his career.
If you have children then you can get child support and the amount depends on how much money he makes each month.

But just because you are married and getting a divorce does NOT mean you automatically get money from him in a divorce.
If it is a community property state then material items get divided.
Your best bet is to consult an attorney, explain your situation to him/her and see where you stand legally.

Hope this helps.
