If you haven't, you should check them out at www.polandwarsawbrothers.com They are a little bit of ska, reggae, hip-hop and rock. My husband plays the sax with them.

The Warsaw Village Band are six young musicians who first came together in 1997 and have since dedicated themselves to conserving and experimentally enhancing the traditional folk music of the Warsowia region in the heart of the country.

Warsaw Village Band’s latest CD, Uprooting, they mix the two kinds of scratching, their rough-edged, fingernail fretted folk fiddles, and the turntable scratches of Polish DJ Feel-X.

The Musicians of the band wear dark sunglasses, outrageous jewellery and dreadlocks on stage while playing the folk music of Poland’s Mazovia region with dulcimer, hurdy gurdy, baraban drum and fiddles, albeit with a heavy, dub-influenced bass at times.
