I've been told several times over many years that my fashion taste sucks. My girlfriend told me after i felt I had picked out a great shirt that I should not be allowed to pick my own shirts. Now she hurt my feeling a bit, but she swirled around the store grabbing this and that and put some thing together for me and gave me 3 shirts as a gift. I wore them reluctantly but from the first time out with my new shirts and pants I was getting complaints from every girl I knew (I am a hair stylist of 16 years) , and I never heard "Wow look at you looking all fashionable." Now I still have no fashion seance but I know that and am good with it, 'cause my lady makes me look nice. Oh and never tell him you bought him an outfit, we hate the "outfit".

First, I would decide what colors you think he'll look best in. Then, take the first step and buy him several different shirts in various colors (but...avoid the pink. That may take a little convincing).

So, give him the shirts, and ask that he start wearing them, because "it'll mean so much." And compliment him over, and over, and over again. Get your friends, his friends, family, and your waitress to compliment him. He'll get hooked, and join the color wheel with the rest of us.

I agree with Mike. Plus he's a guy, you can't get any better advice. My sister in law has the same problem. Her boyfriend only likes black and white clothing and in his bedroom it's the same way. She'll give him gray things just to add something different.

Good Luck

Maybe you could get him a shirt that fits Your liking... Give it to him as a gift..... Just don't go out and buy the brightest color you can find, he might not wear it... If he likes the shirt you got him tell him how sexy he looks in that color... It worked for my husband who only wore black.....

Buy him a couple shirts. Make hints like "that color would look really good on you." It takes time but I've worked my way up from black and gray to some red, blue, and olive. Boys really want to please and most of them will admit that they have no personal sense of fashion. They'll take suggestions from a girlfriend.

Buy him tons of Laccrosse polos. Pink, orange, yellow, blue! Every color... Ok maybe Abercombie Anf Fitch cause Laccrosse is kinda expensive.

You have to put it together for him. start slow maybe add a tie that has subtle color, and then one with a little more color. Then change his shirts the same way. Have people complement the change.

buy him a shirt that has a little color in it, but something he will still like... give it to him and say something along the lines of "i saw this and thought it would look so perfect on u" try it over time... that might work...

but dont push him too hard... you dont want him thinking of u as his mother

Well if that's his style then personally I would leave it alone. But u could try shopping with him or asking him about it? or like somehow slip in a conversation about liking guys who wear clothes with colors lol or something.
