You wanna bet ? The USA has about 22 billion barrels of oil in their reserves, Canada has about 5 billion. Canada does have a bunch more natural gas. But guess what, we don't runs cars on natural gas.
So, go ahead & cut off the oil - but don't export to continue ANY exports to the USA - your number 1 destination for Canadian goods ? If you can afford to screw up your international balance of trade & go back to being mountain men, trappers & lumberjacks.....go ahead !
