I have just have a question.
For any of you who know a Cindy/Cyndi/Cyndie - how many of them are overweight?? My name is Cyndi and every Cindy I have ever known my entire life has been overweight (including myself).
I blame my mom for naming me this :-) Just kidding -
But I am wondering.....
(I know Cindy Crawford isnt overweight but is she the exception??)

A relative's ex girlfriend is named Cyndi. She is anything but overweight, is about a size 2 (maybe) and a very pretty blonde. I am not at all fond of the name "Barbara" because most of them I've known have been witches with a "b".

Cindy from the Brady bunch was not overweight but that was her character so maybe it does not count. Cyndi Lauper ( if that's how she spells it ) is average size.

My name's Cynthia but I'm always called Cindy by all my family members. I'm not overweight. I'm not skinny-skinny either, but I'm just fine the way I am. I play tennis and that really helps to keep me in shape. You just gotta be more active. Try doing sports for fun and eat healthy (although junk food is really good and its hard to get away from...trust me, the food always tricks you into eating it :P). Eat fruits instead of snacks. You just gotta keep in mind that after you do those kind of sacrifices, it will pay off eventually. Just give it time and follow a healthy lifestyle because if you don't start acting now, you may have problems regarding on your health.

my mom's name is cindy, and she is very overweight.
but my mother in law is also named cindy. at one point in time she was obese, but now shes skinny as a rail. shes 58 and runs 4 miles every morning. crazyness.

No, your name does not make you fat. I can only think of one Cindy that i know and she is not at all fat. Cyndi Lauper is not fat either
