I was sifting through some old yahoo questions related to Final Fantasy, and was apalled to see few if not anyone was acknowledging final fantasy 2 (us). I am an avid FF fan since I bought FF1 when it was released at my local video store. I played it for weeks on end. I was fanatic about it, and I could not find anyone else who had even heard of the game. I was a fan all alone. Then the super nintendo came out with Final Fantasy 2 right behind it. It was amazing. The story line was (compared all other RPGs at the time) completely amazing. The monsters and bosses stunning. I cried when the twins turned themselves to stone to save the party. I cried when Cid jumped from the airship with a bomb like a islamic martyr to save the crew from capture by Golbez. I was PISSED OFF at Kain when he stole the crystal and left. This game war by far the greatest innovation in RPGs previous, and since. Screw 3D graphics. Don't you think a game should be good in more ways than graphics?

i, too, fell in love with FFII on the snes. and you're right, i rarely ever see a question on that FF (which is called FFIV, ever since they decided on releasing the real FFII and FFIII in the US)

the other person is right, you should get FFIV advance for gameboy-advance. its a remake, but besides a few name changes of equipment/spells, it's pretty much the same game. also, after you beat it, you have the option of an extra dungeon.

and, before the crystal dungeon on the moon, you can choose to bring cid, palom, porom, edward, or yang back into your party

If you liked that game then you should get ff 4 for the GBA because it is the same game with new side quest to keep you playing
