Here is a suggestion that works for me and everyone I know who has used it. I get random breakouts...I use avedas botanical gel cleanser and I put drops of tea tree oil in it. At night on the infected areas I apply pure tea tree oil...by morning it is significantly less apparent if not gone...keep this regiment until the acne is gone. To maintain a clear complexion wash daily and put drops of the oil in the wash. The oil kills the bacteria that creates acne. Exfoliate and make sure to moisturize. I love my aveda products and you may have your preference....find something you like...and keep using cause switching can cause your skin too break out. Also, sometimes in using new products or taking on better skin care can cause a few breakouts cause your skin is going through detox. Always keep makeup brushes clean...try the sprays (clinque & lara mercia have good sprays) all you do is spray and wipe on a kleenex...they use these at makeup counters, then when you have more time do a deep clean. If you use foundation sponges throw away after each use...when you have acne you are contaminating your brush...if your friends have ance don't share makeup. I use these tips and I rarely break out!
Good Luck

Proactiv can work. DID NOT work for me. It worked for 1 week and stopped working. I don't recommend you buying it, but it has a 60day guarentee, you can always give it back within those 60 days if it isn't working well for you. That's what I did and I got my money back.

I haven't used proactive before, but my cousin is currently using it and I just order it because he said it worked.
You can order it on proavtiv.com or in malls, most of them are around the food court
