Unless this baby comes out of me in the next week, I'm being induced. I'm between 1-2 cm dialated already, and am losing mucous plug bits throughout the day. I know Clary Sage oil can help speed things up, but how do I use it? Just sniff it? Massage on acupressure points? In a bath? Roll around in it like a giant hog?

Anyone got the dirt on how to use the stuff?

Rub about 10 to 15 drops on your hands. That's it.

I understand that you are extremely unconfortable but please do not try to induce labor on your own. It is much safe for your baby if you wait until the scheduled c-section. Just continue to use orajel and over the counter pain relievers until the 13th. Even though you are considered full term, I do not think you should attempt to induce labor at home unless you are 40 weeks or more.

Never heard of it, sorry.

But!!!! Get yourelf some Evening Primrose Oil from the vitamin section of any drugstore (Wal Mart has it too). It comes in the form of capsules that you insert in your vagina next to the cervix. This will work to help soften your cervix and vaginal tissue.

I've used it and my contractions were more effective and speeding up my dialation and I did not tear!

Good luck!

I'm sorry - I don't have the answer to your question. But I just wanted to let you know that you really gave me a needed laugh with the last sentence "Roll around in it like a giant dog?" LOL, Thanks! Congratulations on your pregnancy & I hope you get all of the answers that you are looking for!
