Would like to find free or very low cost online courses on a variety of subjects like economics, electricity, various computer applications, history, etc. Whatever piques my curiousity at the time.

Ideally, the courses would be audio/video and have some interactivity like a short quiz after each section.

Also would be interested in courses offered on DVD or CD, but again, free or cheap.

Doesn't have to be university accredited. This is strictly to satisfy my own curiousity about the world around me.

Are you in the U.S. or in another country? If you are in the U.S. you can find free online course BUT these don't give out certificates.

Doubt you will find any Free courses easily. You could look for golden niches offered by foundations, government agencies. It will be like looking for golden pin in hay stack, but hope some prove me wrong.

I don't know of any free courses because you basically get what you pay for. Education is the best investment you can make as it is an investment in yourself.
