Take the trip and listen to the presentation early Friday morning. Don't buy the time share!!!!!! Enjoy the rest of the trip on Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday. We went to a time share in Orlando, our presentation was Saturday afternoon and it took up our vacation time and plus we're stuck with a crazy 2nd mortgage bill, that we barely live in. Not to mention paying maintenance fees. You are better off saving the money to go on vacation versus making monthly payments to visit once a year. It feels like paying for someone else to stay there when you're not there.

One time I attended a Trend west time share promo meeting, The incentive was to receive a free CD player boom/box for attending it.
I needed one to take to the parks for picnic etc, my old one broke. So I figured investing 2 hours on a Saturday for a 25-30 $ gift no such a bad investment.

I sat through their WHOLE presentation and everything, and managed to walk out with the CD player with out signing any thing. They did give me a look, but mostly got a view of my behind.

What was your question again?

I've not used them as a promotion.

As a consumer, I am pretty wary of those promotions. Anything that starts to sound like "come listen to our time-share sales pitch" gets an immediate "no thanks" from me.
