Please help me prove my butthead boyfriend WRONG! lol!?
My boyfriend is sitting here trying to argue with me that the word Anonymous can also be pronounced "A-nan-y-mous"
Im from New Zealand and he is saying it's an American thang! lol! Is this right or is he getting confused with Unanymous?!

Sounds confused to me - your pronunciation is correct. However, regional variations are huge, so he may have heard it that way from someone, even though it's not technically correct.
ps: Love the NZ accent, sexiest thing in the world - just talk to him for a bit and he'll forget all about it!

The correct way is the way you are "saying" it. However, it is possible, that people on the East Coast of the USA, might say it the way your boyfriend says it because of their accent. You mean, "unanimous". Unanimous means agreed. Haha, I think anonymous can only be pronounced in one way, "a-non-ne-mus". Period.
