Make sure to read the question fully. Then try to read between the lines.... What is it that the person is really asking. A lot of times, what they type is not completely what they are looking for.
When you do answer, don't presume that your first thought, or a glib, pat answer will satisfy this person. Put yourself into their shoes. Sometimes it is easy to just tell someone to dump their boyfriend, or tell their mother-in-law to mind her own business, but if you were in the same position, and you loved your boyfriend or mother-in-law, but had a situation with them that came out all wrong in your question... would you want to read what you just told this other person they should do? Would it dawn on you that there are a bunch of things about the situation that you are not privy to. Would this alter how you answer this persons question?
Be sensitive in your answers. Try to understand that a "mature" approach will always "win out" over telling someone to do something finite and definative. Try to help them to see that there are always two sides to everything... and sometimes even more sides. Be compassionate. If you were in the same situation, how would you react to what you just wrote to this other person? Try to re-read it from their view point.
Answer only the questions that you have personal experience in. You will be much more effective assisting in areas that you are familiar with and you will be better able to empathize with that person's situation.
Good luck on your future answers.

I'd say your lack of proper grammar is a good start...
You're on a computer- with a keyboard- so leave the cellphone IM crap in the garbage.

You just started, give it time. It helps if you use a picture to stand out, although mine isn't working at the moment :(

If your answer lacks correct grammar and punctuation, it probably lacks thought and intelligence as well.
