THATS What your version is of course. if your indifferent and you use this in a caty (spell check wait) clicky (thats insecurity that finds other weak minds to cling to for self esteem derived from bad manners and rudeness. any way...

Born and bred in America, and I've never heard his pronunciation. I think you are right on target with his confusion with "unanimous". Or is it because I'm from the north and don't have a strange accent like those southerners and easterners...just kidding!

"Anonymous" (Meaning: with no name) can not be pronouced "A-nan-y-mous", but Americans will do so nonetheless :P It's just a matter of accent :) I, myself, am Lebanese.
"Unanymous", however, is really written "UnanImous" ;)

LOL.
You're right. Don't let him confuse you. :-P
Most Americans say anonymous, with a short O.
I agree, he might be getting it confused with unanimous.
Hey. It happens. :-P

I believe that it is a dialect thing. That would not be the proper american pronunciation, but some people say it that way anyway. But they are few--or maybe they are just confused like your boyfriend.

I think the way your boyfriend is trying to say it may also be the way the prosecuting attorney from "My Cousin Vinny" might say it... after all he pronounced heinous as hy -ee-nus. Both are wrong!

Sometime loosing is more important then winning, specially when you know you can win easily.

I'm American. I've never said it like that. They may say it like that in the South. I think some do. I'm from the West myself.
