It shouldn't be able to, you are probably drunk or something you can't put a Dvd or any type of video on a Cd-R unless you save the Video onto the Cd, meaning when you save the video put as location the CD and give it a title .....Message i just told you what to do

Are you planning on simply copying the file as data onto a cd-r for backup purposes?
-In this case, you can use any number of programs to convert the video to a more suitable size. I prefer TmpGenc utilities and editors.

Are you planning to copy it to a cd-r to be viewable on some DVD players?
-In this case, you will need to re-encode the video to SVCD format, and make it small enough to fit on a standard CD-R. You can do this by using the utilities mentioned above as well. Also, encoding them with DIVX will help maintain quality after compression.

Most likely, you will not fit a DVD movie, in either case, on one disc without a MAJOR reduction in quality. You would be better off splitting them onto two discs or more.

There are loose courses accessible to do what you have chose, yet in view that i do no longer use any of them, i won't have the capacity to propose any of them. i've got been utilising Nero for years to burn video DVDs and it is likewise solid for burning video CDs. i've got extensively utilized Magix interior the previous to make video CDs and it works decently, too. whilst video DVDs are based upon the essential MPEG-2 encoding engine, video CDs use the MPEG-a million engine (vcd), so decision isn't as solid. nonetheless, that's sufficient and extremely almost all DVD gamers presently will realize it. completely viewable fabric. do no longer attempt to apply the svcd format, great video CD, because it tries to create a video CD version utilising the MPEG-2 engine. maximum DVD gamers do no longer realize it.

you have to convert (or extract) the video data to a mpeg or the like then convert that to a vcd or s-vcd format to burn it to a cdr

so your first step would be to google a converter (or extractor) to make your dvd into an mpeg compliant format. your second step would be to convert that to vcd format with nero or the like, you might also need a splitter if the mpeg is too big for 1 cd. but the burning program usually does that,

for help with getting a dvd to a cd try looking up tutorials at http://www.afterdawn.com they have alot of good info there

yea its near impossible to do this...i doubt you have done it...if your talking about a dvd rip or something i've seen some at 700mb's...but other than that theres no way to squeeze 4 gigs or more onto a cd even with all the compression software in the world...hence why they have cd's and dvds
