I don't know about your discharge, but gooooood luck on the depo. shots. I did them for three years and I am so sorry that I ever even HEARD of them! I can't take the pill ( any of them, tried several kinds ) because I had bad reactions to them or ended up bleeding for days and days on end until I was so anemic that I was white as a ghost, weak and sick as I could be. So, when I got married, I did the shot thing. Wrong answer.
On Depo. my periods were gone, but the mood changes were still there and 24/7!! The weight gain is awful and the depression is the worst. I was so mean to my husband its a wonder he didn't make me live UNDER the house! LOL
And after I got off of it, THEN they told me I would be lucky IF I ever saw a period again. Ever. So if you ever want to have kids eventually, you might want to rethink the Depo.
Now, I have been off of the shots for 4 years, I see a period maybe twice a year ( MAYBE ) and when I DO get one, its MASSIVE. Terribly heavy flow, cramps that make you think you are going to die and horrible depression. And it lasts for two weeks! I never know when I'll get a period- it could be two weeks after the last one and then not another sign of one for almost two years! Then a monsoooon of one will nail me out of no where.
Oh, and since I starteed to take the shots and even after getting off of it, I have no libido. None. Could be a nun and not care .
IF you haven't discussed it in detail with your Dr. , I would suggest you DO so and insist that He/She tell you ALL about the shot before you start on it, if you haven't already. There are other birth control methods out there that are easier on your body.
Ps.... I also understand they give convicted child molesters ( men ) this shot to take AWAY their sexual urges. Interesting huh?

I took the depo shot for 8 years...When I first started taking the shot, I did the brown spotting for about 3 days...Then the next month and every month after that...I had nothing... The shot actually stops you from forming the eggs that you rid when have your menstrual cycle, so you don't have a cycle....

You are not pregnant and probably are about ready to start your period. I would recommend finding another form of birth control because a depo provera shot is more dangerous than oral contraceptives. It will make you gain weight and increases your chances of blood clots and strokes.

i had depo for about 4 years. my periods stopped for the whole time but i still had a nasty brown discharge which the doctor said was just waste. if it is offensive smelling see your doc, otherwise i would just jot down your due dates and calculate them yourself.
good luck, sure its nothing to worry about.

Just think how relaxed you'd be if you used ALL the other options before the morning after.

no you are not pregnant.....but please be aware that Depo can stop your period from coming on all together. Some people spot, and some people don;t have one at all.
