This depends entirely on your body's ability to heal.
The "shot" I take to be an injection applied to the arm.
The bruise in most people would take about 7 days to heal and disperse.
A bruise is simply bleeding that is confined inside the layers of skin.
Some people take longer ... up to two weeks, while older people may take up to four weeks.
Hope this helps you.

it depends on how your skin normally reacts to bruises.
that and how deep the bruise is.
if it doesn't heal within a week or so, go to the doctor.
where is the bruise?
it may be that the injection was done too deeply, and the muscle was affected.
