9,460,730,472,580,800,000. This is the official number.

Strange people, those Americans... Miles!! Such old skool. Let me calculate again:
Light travels at almost 300,000 km per second.

Mm in a julian year:
299,792.458 * 1000 * 1000 * 60 * 60 * 24 * 365.25 = 9,460,730,472,580,800,000.

Mm in a sidereal year:
299,792.458 * 1000 * 1000 * 60 * 60 * 24 * 365.256363051 = 9,460,895,288,762,850,000.

The sidereal year is the time for the earth to complete one revolution of its orbit around the sun, as measured in a fixed frame of reference (such as the fixed stars, Latin sidus). However, by convention the julian year is used when speaking about the speed of light (if measured in years).

If you want to use other definitions of years, see:

31 536 000 seconds in a year.
There are 1 609 344 millimeters in a mile.

So the answer is 5.07522724 × 10 to the 13th

Since 186,282 mi/s is the speed of light, what you're asking for is a light year in millimeters. That would be 9,460,528,404,879 km, and since there's 100,000 mm in a km, that would be 9,460,528,404,879 ,000,000 mm

186 282 (miles per second) = 9.46050824 × 10^18 millimeters per year

9,454,232,480,400,000,000 in a 365 day year
9,480,136,817,000,000,000 in a 366 day year...

186,282 miles per second (the speed of light)
86,400 seconds per day (3600 seconds x 24 hours)
365 days per year
The product of which is 5,874,589,152,000 (miles in one light year)

25.4mm in an inch
36 inches in a yard
1760 yards in a mile
The product of which is 1,609,344 (mm in a mile)

5,874,589,152,000 x 1,609,344 = 9,454,232,480,400,000,000 mm travelled by light in a 365 day year.

9,454,232,480,400,000,000 ÷ 365 x 366 = 9,480,136,817,000,000,000 mm in a 366 day year

That's too much calculation for two points. I gave part of the answer in another question. If I find my notes, I'll add it later.
