i alsready took the piercing out and have been applying actibacterial to it. but how long does it take for the bump do go away?

It takes as long as your skin needs for it to heal. Don't be concerned too much, it is probably just an infection. Just put Triple anibiotic on it every night before bed and it'll clear away.
Or, if it is a zit, try Oxy daily cleansing pads. they work great!

I had the same problem... It is called a keloid... It is not an infection or some other strange thing. It is due to the piercing getting irritated from you blowing your nose and such. Bactine is good to clean with (because the "wound" is still open) also use triple antibiotic, they need to be used on the inside and outside of your nose. Mine took a couple of weeks for the bump to be gone. No more pickin!! If there is any swelling or soreness use a salt water soak. Hope that helps

Probably your piercing got infected. Just tough it out for a few weeks.
Put the piercing back in, and let it heal that way, otherwise the hole will close, and you'll have to start all over.
Remember to use peroxide... a lot!
