Sweat helps you lose weight, but you need to exercise to sweat. Yes, you can sit and sweat in a sauna, but that won't help you lose weight. You need the exercising that comes along with the sweating!

The simple answer is No.
Whether you sweat a lot because of nervousness, or as a result of physical activity, the source is the same: body fluids that need to be replaced. A marathon runner may lose some weight during the run, for example, but he must replenish the lost fluids with water. Sweating is not a weight loss plan!
