Yes.
However, nothing 'happened' to Pluto.
The definition of a planet just changed.
Pluto is now called a dwarf planet.
That's it.

Nothing happend to Pluto. What changes is de definitions of what planets are. Now, we don't considere Pluto as a planet because: 1) its size 2) his orbital.

well... I guess companies that sell those books for school would be *very* happy since now there would be "revised versions" for them to sell and of course, more $$$!!!
it's kinda weird how they decided now to change the definition of what a planet is...... apparently there would be a new category called dwarf planets and there would be Pluto along with a couple more that have been discovered but they couldn't call them planets, now they will be dwarf planets......... anyway, there's so much we don't really know about our world and what surrounds us!!

Yes, I read it in the paper. Scientists have ruled Pluto 'not a planet' but that doesn't mean there is only eight. There is still nine because Pluto has been replaced with a slightly larger planet named Xena.

Yes, I heard all about it! It's about time they righted that mistake of calling Pluto a planet!

anyone not moving in a circular orbit will be out of being called a planet. Unfortunately, pluto had an elliptical orbit.

Oh No! What's Mickey Mouse gonna do now? Er! Um! Oh, sorry, hehe, the planet. Moving on, science discovers and changes things all the time. It's not a meteoric disaster (sorry about that one).
