I'm 15 weeks pregnant and i am addicted to shrimp!!!
but im hearing roomers about how it is a shellfish and is bad for nursing moms and pregnant women, is this true?

I craved shrimp for my first one and didn't hurt me or the baby.....Enjoy

Pregnant women, nursing mothers and all women of childbearing age, should not eat tuna steaks, sea bass, oysters from the Gulf Coast, marlin, halibut, pike, walleye, white croaker, and largemouth bass. These are in addition to FDA's recommendation to entirely avoid shark, swordfish, king mackerel and tilefish.

Mercury is toxic to the developing fetal brain, and exposure in the womb can cause learning deficiencies and can delay mental development in children.

You also should avoid lunch meats, soft cheeses and anything made with raw milk.

No shellfish...! Infection most likely will occur.
