Your sort of missing the point sweetpanther. You are right that everyone dives, but the French are perpetually using that as an excuse for why they lost the WC final. Clearly (and sadly) both sides dove.

NO, never they need some excuse as to why they lost. Admit it, the better team won, Buffon and Co. played a masterful but laid back offense. France barely scored on a penalty kick that Buffon almost got, Italy tied on a set play by Materazzi and then free kicks at the end. Accept it, and move on.

But I never call Italians as divers..I only hate Materazzi and I've no other bad feelings towards other Italy players..to be honest,I even like one of the Italy players,it is Andrea Pirlo..somehow you're not being fair here..your question sounds like only the French people that make mistakes..but actually all humans make mistakes,which means you guys as Italy fans make mistakes too.. why don't you consider this question:will the Italy fans finally quit calling French people as frogs and sore losers? If you do that,then I will never say anything about Italy again but honestly I don't hate Italy,I even have an Italian boyfriend and I only hate Materazzi and other players who are like him..by the way, congratulations on being the champion,but you being the champion doesn't make all other teams are losers..all teams are the winners for it is not an easy task to get qualified in WC..congrats again..by the way,Italy fans,please forgive Zidane..he apologized for his harsh actions..so,please give him a chance to live peacefully and forgive him..he is a human being and he makes mistakes,like we,France fans and you guys,Italy fans do..and the biggest mistake we have ever done is for having this war..so,stop it already..please..

well i guess if there are any divers so they r the french team because of henry's dive and stupid movie in spain match when he had the foul that they scored the second goal from also in portugual match also henry did the same disgusting dive and he had a fake penalty kick and even in the final maluda made like his team mate a disgusting dive and took a fake penalty kick but justice took place and the italian won the world cup because simply they deserved it although i didnot like the fake penalty they had at australia's match but a least they didnot make it 3 times like the french team did by the way iam not against the french team but the dives they did in that cup were too much and they didnot deserve to be in the final portugual were better in the semi final

As a French fan:
I am well aware that everybody dives, everybody includes the Italians and the French. The entire world cup was filled with diving, and stupid referee calls. Its all in the past, we cant change it, but there is no harm in discussing it.

I figured out why some Europeans don't like American football. There's no cheating. We win, we lose, and we forget about it. Just as there is no crying in baseball. All of you online perpetrators start the accusations, then later claim to wish it all away, then are the first to rekindle it. You are emotionally stunted, you all play dirty and whine like babies when you don't win. The only saving grace that you hypocrites have is your expertise on playing foul. You are a disgrace to the fine sport of soccer. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Everybody does dive. so why should we be accused about it more than anybody when there are some countries that dive more than we do?? We dont need this world cup to prove we are better than the french, we have 3 other stars to show off so stop being babies and get over with it. We are obviously better and our record proves it.The day that i think france is better than italy will be when they get more world cup titles than italy, and that will be the day!!!

no they will never stop! soccer fans are huge hypocrits when it comes to diving, so don't expect that to change anytime soon. the prevailing attitude seems to be that it's alright only if it works, which is pretty sad
