Bush is the worst president in the American history!

Hi 43,

Good question, but
difficult to answer as
during Ike's time, we
as Nation were together,
fighting a 'known enemy'
and we were so proud to
be Americans.

Today, we are a Nation
divided and whoever is
our President/Commander
in Chief is dealing with so
much that we are not aware
nor will ever be aware, and
are so very alone, that whatever
is done is criticized over and over.

The incredible thing is, the moment
there is trouble somewhere, everybody,
without exception, call the good old USA
to help, we go, we help, and once that
is done, they proceed to criticize and kill
us.

Life is not fair when you are a superpower
which we are, whether we like it not, but
the world is increasingly expecting more
and more from us and thanking less and
less.

Strategic War against the likes of the terrorism
we encounter today is almost impossible to
contain -- as proved on 9/11 and thereafter in
Europe, when they want to do it, they will get
away with it.

Sorry for going on and on,
and hope that some of this helped.
Stay well and have a great weekend!

Definitely Eisenhower.

It's a stretch to say that we were at war during Eisenhower's presidency. He was inaugurated in January of 1953 and in July, we signed the Korean War armistice. That makes a comparison difficult. Obviously though, he was a brilliant general. I'm not sure who else could have orchestrated the D-Day Invasion. Certainly not George W.

General Eisenhower, the Supreme Commander of the allied effort in Europe during WWII, was a great military strategist in his time, but the entire nature and scale of war, and even the weapons, have changed drastically since WWII. Ike would have to learn all over again. President Bush has never claimed to be a great military strategist. He surrounds himself with the best military strategists and statesmen available and relies heavily on their inputs, as he carries out his duties as President. That's the way it's supposed to be, just as it was in Abe Lincoln's time.

say what? America is hated all over the world. Iraq is in civil war which will last ten years. The Republican war in Iraq will cost working class tax payers $2 trillion. We have a $9 trillion national debt. Sept. 11th was the greatest failure in our History by our Government to protect Americans. We have 19,000 wounded and 2610 dead in Iraq and Bin Laden is in Afghanistan. We have 7 times more troops in Iraq then in Afghanistan where the terrorist who planed Sept 11th are.
BTW, did you read the story about how Iran is the big winner in Iraq. In the end Iran will control Iraq no matter what we do and no matter how many more Republicans draft and get killed or wounded there. Say what? You think this is good ploicy?

Eisenhower by far. I don't care if you support or don't support Bush. Eisenhower actually faught in war and understood how troops moved and what was involved. He was a war president like we've never had.

Bush... never faught in war and has less experience in the matter. He may have a war going right now but his experience in being a soldier, what that means, and what choices will do what is still underdeveloped.

Lemme see ...

Dwight Eisenhower ... General ... War Hero
- understood Military/Industrial complex
George W. Bush ... Reservist ... Liar (WMDs)
- further entrenched the MIC

Yeah, that's a really tough call !!! (if you're a single cell organism)
