I have all my internet bookmarks and I don't want to start fresh. What can I do to save them all and then once I'm in NYV have them ready?

from IE:
File menu => Import and Export
choose Export Favorites

FireFox
Bookmarks menu => Manage Bookmarks
File menu => Export

http://bookmarks.yahoo.com/
click on the Import bookmarks links and you are all set

PS: last time i managed bookmarks in a browser was Netscape 4.7x; since, i found http://companion.yahoo.com/ and have always had the same bookmarks, up to date, no matter whether i was browsing in M$ LostDOS, Linux, from work or even from a friend's PC...

good luck!

Take the hard drive out; the info is all there, the one that's not working obviously is the Windows installation on there, but stuff like bookmarks are just files, all depends on if you know how to restore them from file.

If it's Windows XP, use the files and settings transfer wizard to save your settings to CDs or a flash drive, then you can install them on your new computer. If you don't have XP you need to get someone with XP to create a Wizard disk for you.

Your bookmarks will stay in place while your computer is unplugged and being transported.

Put them on an external hard drive and take that with you.
