I'm from the US, she's from Brazil.
Like: She's very feminine and gorgeous. She's fun loving, outgoing and very loving. I like going to Brazil and being with her family and friends, they are a lot of fun to be around.
Dislike: My portuguese isn't great and her english is worse. So it can be hard and frustrating to discuss complicated issues. Culturally there are differences that can be annoying at times, but really there'd other problems even if I'd married an american. I'd like to go to Europe together, but she only wants to go to Brazil when we have vacation time.
Overall, I made the right move. :)

My mum is english/scottish/norwegian/native american and my dad is armenian, they've been married for about 25 years, still going strong. Although it's been hard for both of them trying to fit into the other's family, all's well though. I like the fact that i'm from many different nationalities as it's interesting to look them up and discover things about each one, but on the down side (speaking as a child of a mixed couple) it can sometimes feel that you don't belong anywhere, i blend in everywhere and yet nowhere...it's a strange feeling, and it leaves me with an intense desire to travel a lot ;)

Good question! Yes, I am white and my husband is black (12 years) The best thing for both of us I think is the cooking. We taught each other so much about our own cultures, and the great recipes that were handed down from the generations. In our eyes, there isn't a downside to being together. I think the only problem is what other people may have accepting us. (like his mother)

My husband is Haitian and I am American. I love to hear him speak French and Kreyol, and I love that I am exposed to a totally different culture. Our daughter is learning all 3 languages. In the beginning, we had a lot of culture-clashing since he grew up there, and is different in many ways from an American man (I had only dated American men before, no reason, just never got to know people from other countries).

I'm white and my fiance is Philippino. He grew up in the states, but sometimes it's hard. I'm always the only white one at parties. On the other hand, I love learning about his culture and all the things he has to offer. Plus he has this beautiful skin tone!

I'm American... husband is British.
What I like about it.. different perspective from different cultures especially when it comes to politics. Same dislike.. it's a double-edged sword.

i am caribbean and my spouse is german. i like the differences a lot and there is hardly anything i dislike apart from the fact that when we visit germany i get frustrated becuase i can't speak any german!! i need to learn! we both bring a lot to the table - the whole european culture and the caribbean mix.. it's fun, it's different, it's exciting! we learn a lot from each other, from society and culture to food and fairytales ... and our baby girl has a lot to gain from it as she grows up!

Yes. I'm American and my husband is Mexican. I hate that our language is different, so we end up speaking mostly Spanish in our house.
