That is totally awsome! I am 13 too and I am working on writing books but i can't seem to finish the story. I have great ideas though ;)

Keep your eyes open for contests and such. Get your writing recognized. If you are anything like me, you are daydreaming 24/7 about going big. Tip- try small first.

The best way to start small is enter contests. You can keep an eye out for contests around school or look on the internet. There is a lot of contests there. Often there is contests where you mail in your story and pay a fee of $10. If I get a chance I will post the link to a directory on the internet for contests here, so I will add this too my watch list.

Before you send your story in, you need to make sure you have plenty of ppl read your story. Have friends read it to tell you if it was boring in one spot or that it was confusing to understand. Have your English and writing teacher read it for spelling and grammar. Have your keyboard teacher, literature teacher, etc. Your parents. The wacky lady who smells like cats next door... whoever. Just get as many people as possible give you opinions on your story.

BTW, don't let anyone, not your parents, teachers, crazy next door lady, tell you that you can't. You can try. there is no harm in that. Well, I hope you have your book published and PLEASE keep me updated!

Good Luck, and I hope I helped.

Give it to someone who will be honest with you about it and have them read it and give you feedback to find out if it really is good enough to be published.

You may need to make changes to get it into a publishable story (proper grammar, sentence structure, no obvious ideas or characters copied from other stories or books you have read, etc.)

A 100 page story is too long to publish in a magazine and too short to publish as a book, so you may have difficulties getting it published unless you pay to have it published.

There are a lot of "vanity" publishers who will publish your story if you pay them to do it. Then you end up with 1000 copies that you have to sell yourself to get your money back.

Dear, short stories are RARELY if ever published these days. 100 pages is considered a short story. The publishing world is a very difficult one and uknowns such as yourself have a difficult time. You need connections, possibly an agent, and years of experience. Again, the short story genre' is really not being published except perhaps for very literary magazines and I doubt your story would be of the caliber to make it in one of them.

When I was in high school I wrote a story and my teacher helped me get it published so that's what I would try if I was you.

Look for writing contests... especially ones recommended by your school. Keep submitting stuff for contests, and maybe one day soon you can have your stories published big time.

Try Lulu.com. You can publish it as book format or e-book. Whatsoever, you get paid via PayPal or checks, so, you might need someone old, perhaps you're parents or a teacher. Be careful you won't be stolen, so, better your parents.

i would first probably ask a teacher at school (once school starts)
or search on the internet for a publishing company and email them
or go to a bookstore, like barnes and noble, and ask them if they could help you
good luck
