What causes to have your period twice in a month? Is it normal?

I just had my period a week ago but now I'm having really bad cramps again It hasn't came back yet. What is causing my cramps? What should I do?

severe stress can cause multiple periods in a month, or cause you to skip your period altogether. are you really stressed right now? has someone in your family passed away? did you just start a new job or a new school? did you have a major change in your family or friendships? did you lose a job? any of these things if they cause alot of stress can cause these problems, it is not uncommon.

If you are on a new birth control it can happen for up 6 months. Stress can induce a second period. Any chance of pregnancy? If you think maybe, take a test. Also women with polycystic ovarian disease can have multiple periods. Depending on your age, some women experience this during premenopause or if you have a fibroid, benign tumors in the uterus. An std can also cause abnormal uterine bleeding. If it happens once and you know all of these other options aren't possible then don't worry about it. If there is any chance of any, you need to see a doctor.

if you are on the pill you may experience more than one period or some spotting. your period should come every 28 days so there will be some months you will have 2 periods.
