as a newcastle fan i was just wondering if my team had brought a good footballer in obafemi martins and is he any good as striker

He's decent, very quick, but not an elite striker. He did well in his role at Inter, playing next to Adriano. He will be a quality addition, but will not be a standout player.

He can run the 100m in just over 10 seconds. He is also a very good striker.

to all the people that say he is a good aquisition but not an elite player, he is only 21 so give him some time. Henry couldn't hit a barn door when he first joined Arsnal and just look at him now.

Small but very fast striker. Won't bend it like beckham. More like an Owen type. Will make runs and hope he gets the ball from midfield and then can run onto it and outrun defenders.

Im a Ac Milan supporter and he has often been a thorn in my side, but he is a good footballer, very quick and fast and a very good finisher, and is prob better than Micheal Owen.

He is a Nigerian little body striker , I saw him in the last african champion , I think he is not that good , I am also a Newcastle fan ..

For me, its the transfer of the season. (I DQed Chelsea, for all theie money). He sure will get you goals and even creat some. His biggest asset is his Pace. Would be a gr8 partner for Owen, when he returns from his injury.

lets not worry about Martins....what ive seen of him he`s a very good player...at this present time though we should be basking in the entertainmant that is Sunderland afc...the biggest joke since someone said the titanic was unsinkable ..speaking of which there going down faster than the titanic aswell.....

He is a quick nippy striker who can finish. Same he got injured in his game.
